Is it autumn? It is autumn, isn't it?
Starting with that meaningless murmur.
This is LJP KIKU, who finds joy in the season of new rice above all else.
Now, to the main topic:
An announcement regarding the pre-order sale of Tibetan Fingering.
From left:
Suguri, Sumire, Koke, Kuri
Yak is a yarn I particularly like.
I've sourced several types of Yak blend yarns,
and this one was the easiest to knit with and had the neatest finish, so I liked it.
60% Superwash Merino
20% Silk
20% Yak
366m/100g Fingering (approximately sport weight)
3-ply.
While knitting, I feel the smoothness of silk more than the Yak sensation,
and it knits smoothly. It's incredibly easy to knit! The fabric is also beautiful.
Then, after wet blocking,
"Oh, how不思議 (mysterious)."
The light, fluffy, rustic quality of Yak subtly emerges.
Finally, my sister appears!
I'd like to take pictures of myself wearing it, but I'm a bit plump,
and I can't undermine my own sales,
so I had my slender older sister wear it.
The pattern here is Magnolia from LaineMagazine Issue 4.
This, surprisingly, uses two skeins of Tibetan Fingering!
As you can see, the stockinette stitch is stable fabric,
and the lace parts stand out clearly.
Size S (why did I make an S size for myself in the first place?!)
When it was finished, it was indeed a bit snug.
And my son, with some difficulty, said,
"Is it a little small?"
So, I gifted it to my S-sized sister from her L-sized sister.
Personally, I honestly think the Magnolia design would be more活きる (brought to life)
with mohair or a yarn with more fuzziness, like the original.
Therefore,
I'm thinking of knitting a shawl or something that a follower on Instagram knit with the same base.
If it's a garment, perhaps a light cardigan or a simple pullover would be nice.
The base color of this "Suguri" is the natural color of the undyed yarn.
So, I think dyeing it in rich autumn colors
will give it a wonderful feel.
"Suguri" has the feel of red berries, the only textured one.
Knitted with this, red suguri berries would dot a silvery field,
creating a crisp, cold, Nordic-inspired image.
Next is "Sumire" (Violet).
A dry, crisp grape color.
It has a faint reddish tinge.
It's a mauve-系的 color that blends well with the skin, even for those who dislike purple.
Next is "Koke" (Moss).
This one doesn't have any strange tricks;
it's purely the color of moss growing in a silent forest at the beginning of winter.
Next is "Kuri" (Chestnut), the color I first dyed because I wanted it myself.
This image appears slightly brighter, but it's a very chocolatey brown.
These four colors are all in the "wagashi" (Japanese confectionery) palette,
so any combination of them will work well!
Because the raw yak fiber is soaring in price,
the undyed yarn is more expensive than other yarns,
which unfortunately drives up the price.
However, it is a truly luxurious and elegant yarn!
How about two skeins for a shawl, or one luxurious skein for socks?
Currently, I'm engrossed in knitting socks.
Of course, socks costing nearly 3500 yen a pair!?
It sounds luxurious when you think about it,
but that's the joy of hand-knitting.
Previously, I casually knitted fox socks with Summer Linen,
and they are heavenly to wear.
So, please try knitting socks with leftover luxurious yarn.
And then tucking them into a suitcase
for a trip – a fantasy (I've written about this somewhere).
Well then!
I kindly ask everyone to consider this offer.
Below are the details for the pre-order sale.

Future Plans
New colors for standard bases and
a mohair festival are being dyed in parallel.
The shop is scheduled to be updated in October after the Tibetan Fingering pre-order sale.
At the moment, there are no plans for a pre-order sale,
but if you missed out or wish to purchase enough for a garment, please contact us.
I will rack my brain to come up with a solution.
After all, these are all such lovely colors...
See you again.
