We regret to inform you...
We have always strived to offer our products at the most affordable prices possible,
at a price point where we ourselves would think, "I'd buy this for that much."
However, we are now forced to increase these prices.
The reasons for this are exchange rate fluctuations due to Brexit and the pandemic,
as well as increased costs due to a reduction in air freight logistics.
We kindly ask for your understanding as we increase the price of yarn from ¥2,500 to ¥2,600 per skein, a rise of ¥100 (!).
Additionally, from April, the display of total prices (tax included) became mandatory.
Therefore,
- Merino Sock
- Single Merino
- Daily Sock
- Soft Sock
- Play Sock
- Merino Lace
- Merino DK
will be ¥2,860 (tax included).
- Lemon Sock
will be ¥2,640 (tax included).
For mohair, Job Sock, and Tough Sock, we will consider pricing at the time of future procurement.
Mini skeins will remain at the current price of ¥770 (tax included).
It's too complicated to calculate, so we'll postpone raising prices for mini skeins...
Some of you have told us our products are "affordable."
However, for those around us who don't knit or are unfamiliar with hand-dyed yarn,
I believe some may find ¥2,860 per skein to be "expensive."
I myself have things I'm willing to splurge on
and things I'm not,
and this also changes depending on economic circumstances.
Therefore, I believe there's no single right answer as to where to set the target.
This decision is the conclusion I've reached to keep this business running smoothly
and to continue it for a long time.
We will strive even harder than before to improve our services,
including dyeing, and kindly ask for your understanding.
