Next Shop Update Announcement

Yesterday, it snowed in Tokyo,

and although this winter is said to be mild,

it's been perfect weather for knitting.

I would like to announce a shop update.

■ Date and Time: Wednesday, January 22, 2020, 9:00 PM

That's it.

Fade Kit Announcement

With Fade Kals and such, Fades are popular again.

I decided to join the Kal

and dyed some yarn.

Come to think of it, besides the Goma Shio Project,

I've never sold Fade kits before,

so this is their first appearance.

Single Merino

Merino Sock

This fades from an ink-like black to grey, gold, and pale yellow speckles.

Fade Kit 1

Soft Sock

Merino Sock

This one was inspired by The Little Prince.

It changes from a deep sky blue (with a hint of yellow stars) to

a delicate pink.

To avoid trademark issues, it's called Fade Kit 1.

Reading

A new color.

Layers of matte brown and beige within a deep green.

It has silver and night blue speckles.

I've also prepared this in the new JobSock base.

This is my favorite sock yarn recently.

I introduced it earlier in the Sock Club.

It's 75% Superwash BFL and 25% Nylon.

What I love about it is that it's incredibly durable (job)

It does a good job.

Compared to Merino, it feels a bit drier

and has a rougher texture, but after washing,

the stitches tighten, and it transforms into a fluffy fabric with the long fibers unique to BFL.

And I feel it's warmer than Merino.

 Tea House (다방)

In Korean, it's pronounced 'dabang.' In Japanese, 'sabou' is also fine.

I'm currently knitting a pullover in this DK color.

Afternoon Tea (下午茶)

Apparently, "下午茶" (xiàwǔchá) is what they call afternoon tea in Taiwan.

Since I can't pronounce it, please just call it "Afternoon Tea."

I have prepared it in several bases.

The Lowland

I love Jhumpa Lahiri's novels,

so I named it after one of her book titles.

Every Day a Good Day

It was also made into a movie,

but I read Noriko Morishita's essay quite a while ago,

and it became one of my favorite books.

Originally a Zen saying,

it can be interpreted as "every day is wonderful, no matter what," or

"live in the present moment, rain or shine."

A Few Staples

Eat Cake

Darjeeling Limited

I've been slowly re-dyeing some of our most popular items.

Every time I dye them, I think, "I just love these!"

Both are excellent for knitting socks.

I knitted the Darjeeling Limited for my husband,

and when I see him wearing them,

his feet look really cool.

Sock Set

Hand-dyed yarn sales LemonJellyPool

This is a sock set with 100g of sock yarn and 20g of accent yarn.

I've prepared pairs with the perfect accent colors

for the main color.

There will be a Sock Club in March

and an event in April, so

after this shop update,

online sales will likely be on hiatus for a while.

I might consider taking custom orders for a small quantity of Fade Kits (or I might not).

I hope to plan and share new projects again this year.

Thank you very much for your continued support.
