Our logo has been renewed!
I believe it was in 2014,
during Isetan Shinjuku's Christmas campaign,
I fell in love at first sight with Mirokomachiko's cute drawings.
I remember buying a ton of Christmas cards and stamps, also by Mirokomachiko,
which featured cute Nordic girls,
and sending them to people I liked.
After that, I've been a long-time fan,
always looking forward to Mirokomachiko's picture books and exhibitions.
It's been a year since I started LemonJellyPool.
At the time, I thought a Japanese-style
family crest-like design would be cool for the shop's logo, aiming for an international appeal,
so I had it designed.
To keep the selling price as low as possible,
both the yarn bands and stickers were homemade.
That's why the yarn bands often arrived crumpled.
Now for a fresh start!
I suddenly thought,
wouldn't it be fun if there were drawings of
free-spirited, cute animals?
The yarn is still the main star, but
don't you get excited when
the things around it are also cute?!
That's it! Let's ask Mirokomachiko!
I thought, with great reverence,
and decided to make the request.
I didn't specify any animals,
and let her draw freely.
And she also designed the logo!

After two months of waiting (as she's a very busy person),
is there any logo more perfect than this?!

It became such a wonderful logo.
It's a Marten.
Marten's fur changes color
with each season, apparently,
making it a perfect motif for hand-dyed yarn!
That's why it was chosen.
I'm currently thinking of using tags instead of bands,
and if it's ready in time for the event at Walnut Tokyo at the end of this month,
I hope to prepare the yarn, adorned with the new logo,
for the summer linen pre-order sales that are currently open.
Please welcome the new LemonJellyPool.
